13th October, 8pm. Meet the Poet: Genevieve Carver We meet with Genevieve Carver to discuss her solo poetry as well as her productions with multi-instrumentalist band The Unsung. With live readings and video footage of blended music and poetry shows, this Meet the Poet is set to be a captivating and entertaining insight into the diverse, skilled and inventive work being produced within the poetry community. Genevieve Carver was longlisted in the National Poetry competition in 2020 and in the same year published her debut poetry collection. As part of gig theatre project Genevieve Carver and The Unsung, she has created two gig theatre shows which have toured nationwide and received critical acclaim at venues including London’s Roundhouse and Underbelly at the Edinburgh Fringe. Their latest show 'A Beautiful Way to be Crazy' explores female experiences in the music industry and was researched through interviews with female and non-binary music practitioners.
