Meadowdale International Raceway Reunion Car Show 2020\nThe 12th Annual Meadowdale International Raceway Reunion Car Show is held on the straight away of the "Ghost Track" of the former Meadowdale International Raceway. Yes the 3.27 mile Track is still there\,it is now a Park located just off Route 31 and Huntley Road in the far Northwest Corner of Carpentersville\, Illinois. The Track comes alive again every September with Over 200 period Race and Collectible Vehicles attending. . Meadowdale Raceway was a road course racetrack which opened for its first race on September 14\, 1958. The track closed in the early 70's after also trying Drag Racing\, Winter Snowmobile racing \,and recreational SCCA type outings. However Racing bodies wanted major safety upgrades made to sanction it in the 70's\,Mr. Besinger owner seeked backers for updates but then the gas shortage hit making racing Tabo in IIllinois. So no one wanted to invest . Mr Besingers dream of an American international track sat for decades and then turned into a park. It still has races but on foot or mountain bikes now. There will be Memorabilia\, to see and purchase also meet past Racers and their cars\, Food will also be available to purchase Mc & Theme music by 101.5 FM Cruisin Music Radio DJ Rudy The K \, Entry fee $20 No charge for spectators.
