"Socktober" Fundraiser Event For Rock House KidsnSaturday October 3, 2020n9:00am to noonnnLocated at the Rockford Public Schools Admin Building Parking Lotsn(corner of 7th St and 4th Ave)nAcross the street from Katie's CupnnOur season ending fund-raising event this year is benefitting the Rock House Kids.nBring pairs of new, unopened kids socks to donate to participate in our last Cars and Coffee Rockford event! nnMusic by Joe LockenCoffee, donuts and other treats available nDisplays by the Rockford Police Dept, Rockford Fire Dept, Winnebago County Sheriff's Dept and more!nAwards, games, prizes and more!nnWith your help, we can make sure the children who participate in the evening programs have the things they need before they go back out into the world again. Every month we focus on collecting one or two seasonal items to give out to the kids and socks are always in need!nBRING NEW, UNOPENED PAIRS OF SOCKS TO DONATE FOR 10 YEAR OLDS AND OLDER TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR ACTIVITIES!nnABOUT ROCK HOUSE KIDSnSince 1999, Rock House Kids has provided a safe, warm, and nurturing environment tonRockfords inner-city children, ages 6 - 18. They are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization andndonations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by IRS tax laws.nnOTHER ITEMS THAT ARE ON THEIR WISH LISTnWarm blankets (twin/full size), Clorox wipes, Ziploc bags (gallon size), lotion (4-8 oz bottles/tubes), dry cereals (1 oz boxes), breakfast or nutrition bars, peanut butter crackers or cheese crackers, fruit roll ups, fruit snacks or raisins, small packs of cookies or crackers, Capri Suns, juice boxes (non-refrigerated type).nItems must be individually wrapped and single serving sized.nFood must be ready to eat, non-perishable and non-refrigerated.nnhttps://www.facebook.com/events/219674415823662/
